Home
of the St. Louis Rams since 1995, the Edward
Jones Dome is a massive facility which is
home to many events, including football.
Prior to moving to St. Louis, the Rams played
at Anaheim Stadium, a multipurpose facility,
that was also the home of the California
Angels (MLB). From 1960 until 1987, St.
Louis had an NFL team, the Cardinals who
played at Busch Stadium. However, the team
was moved to Arizona, and Sun Devil Stadium
after the 1987 season. Hoping to land a
NFL through relocation or expansion, the
city decided to build a new dome stadium
in the early 1990’s. During the same
time, the Rams wanted a new football only
facility to play in. After attempts to get
a new stadium failed, the team decided to
move to St. Louis after the 1994 NFL season.
However, the new stadium in St. Louis was
not yet complete. During the first several
weeks of the 1995 season, the Rams played
at Busch Stadium, which was home of the
St. Louis Cardinals (MLB).
