Home
of the University of Illinois Fighting Illini
for nearly eighty years, Memorial Stadium
was the home of the Chicago Bears for the
2002 NFL season. In order for a massive
renovation project at the Bears home, Soldier
Field, the team had to find a temporary
stadium for the team to play during the
2002 season. The team chose Memorial Stadium
because of its closeness to Chicago. The
Bears are scheduled to play one year at
Memorial Stadium, and then move back into
a redesigned Soldier Field. |
